In today’s blog, we will talk about the power of Google my business. Any local vendor or local business wants his business to be on top of Google search result pages then he should definitely use Google my business. You don’t need to hire digital marketing Agencies for this, just follow these simple steps of mine to get started. If you are into B2B or B2C and want to get registered with Google my business in 2021 and want to provide your goods or services to the consumers then this blog is definitely for you.
Follow these steps to get started.
Go to business.google.com. Click on the “Sign in” button (Gmail ID is a must). See the picture below to find how your business profile will look like after completing these steps.
A new page will be shown as shown below. Type your business name and click next.
Soon as you click next you will find a page where you have to select your business category. Choose a category that fits your business best (you can change and add more later) and then click ‘Next’.
Now Google will ask if you want to add a location customers can visit, like a store or office. If you want that customers should visit your Store or office click ‘yes’, remember this location will be shown on Google Maps so write correctly, but if you don’t want customers to visit click ‘no’.
If you clicked yes then Google will ask for the address, write the address correctly because Google will send a verification code to that location, and then click ‘Next’. In case you click ‘no’ nothing like this will be shown up.
Sometimes Google may ask if this is your business by showing a list, in this case, click ‘none of these’ and then click ‘next’.
Now Google will ask if you serve your customer outside your location, click ‘yes’ if you do else ‘no’. If you clicked ‘yes’ type in the location that you serve and click next.
As soon as you click next Google will ask for contact details, write your contact phone number and your current website URL if you have any else click no. You can also create a free website with the help of Google based on your info. And click ‘next’.
Now Google will ask ‘finish and manage this listing’, click ‘finish’.
Now Google will ask you to add your services. Select the services (you can select multiple services) your business provides to the customers and then click on ‘save’.
Add your business hours and click ‘save’, you can also skip and add later. As soon as you click next it will ask you to add messaging if you want to it is free of cost, and click ‘save’.
Now add your business description and click save, you can add this information afterward also. Now add your photos and click ‘save’, you can also skip this.
Your business profile will be almost ready click ‘continue’. Now your dashboard will pop up you can add all your information there.
Remember your all information will be pending, as you need to verify your information. No information will be shown unless you type that code which you will receive from Google within 12 days after typing your address.
Type in the code as soon as you receive and your profile will be verified.
